This restoration was a massive undertaking on a character home perched on the hill, carefully balancing modern functionality with the charm of its original architectural beauty. The house was once divided into separate rooms, making it feel closed off, so the renovation focused on opening up the spaces while preserving its timeless features.
The kitchen was originally a narrow, enclosed space, now, it has been completely reimagined to create an open, inviting heart of the home. We carefully removed multiple walls, installed a stunning new Rimu floor, and enhanced the flow of the living areas, making the space both functional and elegant.
One of the key transformations was converting the master bedroom into a living space, allowing the home to breathe while keeping its stunning heritage details intact. The original stained glass, intricate archways, and classic woodwork were all lovingly preserved to honour the home's history.
